Here’s one thing you can do today
Are You Feeling Stuck After Your Breakup?
You’re Not Alone.
After a breakup, it’s easy to feel like you’re stuck in an emotional loop.
One moment, you’re overwhelmed with sadness, and the next, confusion takes over.
You may feel like you’re walking through life with a foggy mind, unable to see a way out.
It’s a feeling I know all too well.
When I was in the midst of my own heartbreak, I couldn’t imagine a life beyond the pain.
It seemed like each day was just a repeat of the last.
I was exhausted, drained, and unsure of how to move forward.
But through that struggle, I discovered something important: Healing starts with small steps, and the most powerful step is to show yourself compassion.
If you’re feeling stuck, I want to share one thing that helped me break free from that cycle: Self-compassion.
A Simple Way to Begin Healing: The 5-Minute Self-Compassion Exercise
One of the most powerful tools I used to begin shifting my mindset was a simple 5-minute journaling exercise.
It sounds easy, and it is—but the impact it can have on your healing is immense.
Here’s how to do it:
- Find a quiet space: Sit down somewhere comfortable. Maybe it’s a cozy chair or a peaceful spot in your home.
- Grab a pen and paper: Let your thoughts flow freely. Don’t worry about spelling or grammar—just get the words out.
- Set a timer for 5 minutes: Start writing about how you’re feeling in that moment. No judgment. No pressure. Just let it all come out—whether it’s sadness, frustration, or confusion.
- Ask yourself one question: After you’ve written for 5 minutes, ask yourself, “What do I need to hear right now to feel supported?” It might be something as simple as “You’re doing your best” or “It’s okay to feel this way.”
- Write down your answer: Let those comforting words flow onto the page.

This practice may seem small, but it can be incredibly powerful.
It allows you to acknowledge your pain without judgment, and it opens the door to self-healing.
Most importantly, it reminds you that healing doesn’t happen overnight—it’s a process, and every step, no matter how small, is progress.
You Don’t Have to Do This Alone
Healing from a breakup isn’t something you need to face alone.
You are not alone in your struggles, and it’s okay to seek support when you need it.
In fact, asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
That’s why we created the Healing Hearts: Moving Beyond Heartbreak group.
It’s a place where you can find support, tools, and a community of people who understand exactly what you’re going through.
We share resources, exercises, and emotional support to help you heal and move forward with hope.

Some days will be harder than others, and that’s okay.
What matters is that you keep moving forward, one small step at a time.
You’ve got this.
